W Las Vegas is set to become an exciting new addition to Las Vegas Strip,
as part of a collaboration between MGM Resorts International and Marriott International.
This transformation will see an iconic property rebranded under Marriott’s W Hotels,
a luxury lifestyle brand known for bold design, nightlife, and premium services.
The W Las Vegas is anticipated to complete its conversion later in 2024.
Located on Mandalay Bay campus, this move aligns with the broader strategic licensing agreement between MGM and Marriott,
which was announced in July 2023. The partnership gives Marriott Bonvoy members exclusive access to MGM’s premier destinations, allowing for status matching and benefit sharing across both loyalty programs. MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy now includes 12 destinations on Las Vegas Strip, with W Las Vegas being a key new addition.
Steve Zanella, MGM Resorts Operations President, expressed enthusiasm, stating that the partnership with Marriott has exceeded expectations, and W Las Vegas will offer guests a new level of luxury experience. Marriott’s Chief Financial Officer, Leeny Oberg, highlighted this as a pivotal moment in their collaboration, enhancing hospitality offerings for Las Vegas visitors.
This rebranding also strengthens both brands’ global reach, allowing them to tap into Marriott’s vast distribution network and MGM’s reputation for creating immersive Las Vegas experiences.
