Sphere Entertainment Co. (NYSE: SPHR) and Department of Culture and Tourism –

Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) recently announced plans to bring this technological marvel to United Arab Emirates.

This move marks a key milestone in Sphere Entertainment’s vision

to expand its unique entertainment concept globally.

Abu Dhabi Sphere will mirror Las Vegas venue, which opened in September 2023 to rave reviews, featuring advanced immersive technology and seating up to 20,000 people. development aligns with Abu Dhabi’s Tourism Strategy 2030, which aims to solidify the city as a global cultural and innovation hub. H.E. Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of DCT Abu Dhabi, emphasized that Sphere will “set new standards in immersive experiences,” enhancing the city’s entertainment landscape.

James L. Dolan, Executive Chairman of Sphere Entertainment, highlighted that this second Sphere will redefine live entertainment, leveraging cutting-edge technology to create captivating, unforgettable experiences. Though no construction timeline or cost estimate has been confirmed, the Abu Dhabi Sphere is expected to rival its Las Vegas counterpart, which had an initial cost of $1.2 billion but eventually ballooned to $2.3 billion.
